My footballing journey started at a young age playing at centre back for my local Sunday league team. I have a massive passion for football and have always loved every aspect of the game, from playing to coaching and watching as often as I can! My coaching began when I helped out at my younger brother’s training sessions, and immediately found a love and passion beyond what I had ever experienced in the past. At the age of 16, I tore my ACL and required reconstructive surgery. This huge setback only pushed me further in my coaching, despite stopping me from being able to play. I am a UEFA C Licence coach, though my long term aim is to progress through the badges, and work my way to the very top of the game. I am currently a first year student at UCFB Wembley, where I wish to develop my coaching skills and take every bit of experience that is available to me!

I have experience in producing coaching programmes, providing a detailed style of play that allows us to plan an entire season.
Hi, my name is Kristian Swaby I’m 20 years old and I have been a Coach player first for around 2 1/2 to 3 years now and been a coach for around 5 years. I started off as an assistant coach and worked my way up till I was able to have my own team. I also still currently play football at a good level which helps alongside my coaching as I can relate to players and also use my experience within my coaching.

My love for football has grown from watching my son and his team develop through the sport from the young age of 6.
Seeing firsthand how it can boost belief , teamwork, hard work and resilience has shown me what an incredible impact it can have on young people’s confidence.
When I was given the opportunity to get involved with girls’ football at the development centre, I jumped at the chance to help girls experience the same excitement and confidence boys feel on the pitch. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where every girl can grow, have fun, and feel empowered through football. I’m also committed to making sure kids of all abilities, including those with disabilities, have equal opportunities to enjoy the game.
Our goal at Player First is to build a positive environment where every player can thrive and love the sport.

My coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that creativity, tactical training, and a deep love for football are essential ingredients for success. With over 10 years of experience, I’ve worked in various roles, including grassroots boys and girls coaching, schools, and development centres.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with diverse groups, achieving success such as winning top division leagues, county cups, and the girls’ capital league. This has led to players being signed to academies in all age groups. My ability to inspire and motivate players has consistently yielded exceptional results, both on and off the pitch. As a creative technical coach, I aim to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment. I use innovative training methods, small-sided games, and problem-solving challenges to develop players’ technical skills, tactical awareness, and decision-making abilities.
My sessions are designed to be fun, challenging, and rewarding, ensuring that players reach their full potential. Beyond coaching, I am a keen observer of the game and actively seek out opportunities to learn and grow. I regularly attend coaching conferences, analyze matches, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in football development. I am passionate about giving back to the football community and I actively involved in various coaching initiatives. I believe that football has the power to transform lives and I am committed to using my expertise to create positive change.
During my youth playing days, I was at Barnet Academy and also represented Middlesex County at the youth level. I’m a huge Tottenham fan and my favourite player of all time is Marco Van Bastan.
I have been involved with Player First since the start and wanted to achieve something I love doing and am very passionate about.
I wanted to give the opportunity to boys & girls who enjoy football the chance to develop as players, gain confidence, have fun and most of all enjoy being part of something amazing.
I have been involved in football all of my life and been blessed to play semi professional football for over 20 years enjoying the highs and lows of the best sport in the world and making amazing memories along the way.
I have tried to retire from playing many times but my head and body won’t let me stop and still have the desire to play now at my young age!
I am a massive Arsenal fan & try to watch them whenever I can. I tried to bring my 3 boys up to support Arsenal and only 1 has agreed with my choice of team! (So far!)
I have worked hard achieving various football qualifications, these include being a professional football scout, a qualified football intermediary and getting my football coaching badges.
The dream for me and us as a company would be seeing boys and girls who attend the academy making the most amazing memories and giving them an opportunity to develop and achieve their life goals.
